There is no single “best Animal” species list

+1 Strength for Eggs constantly adds Eggs across biomes (Forest through Ancient Egypt). Species names shift with updates, so this guide ranks priority rules that stay true: mutations, placement, upgrades, offline Cash, and sell-versus-keep logic. For hub basics see Animals.

Priority stack (highest first)

1. Rainbow (3x) mutated Animals — never bench these.
2. Diamond (2.5x) mutants — core long-term earners.
3. Any 2x mutant (Gold, Hacked, Lava, Toxic) — especially fresh weather hatches.
4. High-biome base Animals you can upgrade now (Void / Cloudlands / Ancient Egypt tier Eggs).
5. Index fillers you still need for collection rewards.
6. Early-biome duplicates — sell when slots and attention are tight.

Mutated pets change the entire shop

A Rainbow Animal is not a cosmetic flex — it is a factory upgrade that buys Dumbbells and shortens Rebirth cycles. When you hatch a mutant:

1. Place it immediately.
2. Dump Cash into its upgrades before buying vanity Dumbbells.
3. Protect it — do not sell “for temporary Cash” unless you are sure a better mutant replaces it.
4. Claim index rewards tied to the new variant.

Sell vs keep decision tree

Keep if:

• It has Rainbow / Diamond / any mutation you lack multiples of.
• It beats your weakest placed Animal after estimated upgrades.
• It fills a missing index entry with claimable rewards.
• You are entering a weather event and need board space for new mutants without deleting old Rainbows.

Sell if:

• It is a non-mutated duplicate from a biome you outgrew.
• It loses to every placed pet even after affordable upgrades.
• Inventory is blocking Egg picks during a timed weather sprint (Weather Events).
• You need a burst of Cash to finish a wall-breaking Dumbbell and you will replace the seller within the same session.

Never sell your last Rainbow to afford a shop item — farm a bit longer or rebirth with a plan instead.

Offline earnings optimization

Before logging off:

• Hatch every Egg.
• Place highest multipliers.
• Finish short upgrades rather than starting long ones you will not complete.
• Leave the account in a state where Animals, not inventory Eggs, own your progress.

Offline Cash is why patient Animal players pass script users who never place pets.

Stealing and contested Eggs

Server size is 5. “Best” Animals often start as contested Eggs in Volcano, Void, Cloudlands, or Ancient Egypt. Rules of thumb:

• Only steal what you can extract to the Safe Zone.
• A free Desert Egg hatched beats a failed Void steal.
• During weather, contested mutation Eggs are worth more risk — still not infinite risk.

Upgrades vs new hatches

Spend on upgrades when your best pets are underleveled relative to Cash income. Chase new Eggs when your board is fully upgraded for your bracket or when a mutation weather is live. Hybrid approach: upgrade Rainbow/Diamond first every session, then egg-run.

Synergy with Strength

Animals do not replace Dumbbells — they buy them. Use Animal Cash according to the Dumbbells Tier List so you break gates instead of collecting every Mythic nameplate. Free starter Animal via like+join remains mandatory (Codes).

When high-tier mutants have nowhere to sit, fund Farm Expansion before another Void steal. Claim every new discovery on the Animal Index so collection Cash is not left on the table.
