Animal Index Guide

What the Animal Index is for

The Animal Index (collection / discovery panel) in +1 Strength for Eggs tracks which Animals you have found. Filling rows is not only completionism: discovery often pays Cash bounties, teaches you which biomes drop what, and guides keep-versus-sell decisions on your farm.

Think of the Index as a second quest log beside Strength walls. Eggs you extract to the Safe Zone, hatch, and register progress the book. Animals you never Open never count.

This guide covers biome discovery order, Claim All habits, claiming before Rebirth, Egypt row adds, and how to think about mutations as variants without inventing a fake catalog — always verify live in-game UI.

Discover by biome (practical order)

Biomes gate Egg pools. Typical progression players feel:

Forest → Beach → Desert → Arctic → Volcano → Void → Cloudlands → Ancient Egypt

You unlock them by training with Dumbbells and breaking walls. Index strategy follows map access:

  1. Forest / Beach: Fill early rows while learning carries. Claim bounties to fund Stone → Heavy → early Rare tools.
  2. Desert / Arctic: Mid species appear; contest rises on 5-player servers. Bank often so discoveries actually hatch.
  3. Volcano / Void / Cloudlands: Late rows; do not skip Index claims because you are staring at Celestial prices.
  4. Ancient Egypt: New rows arrive with the biome update — leave inventory space and pad space before you push the gate (Egypt biome).

If a row is missing, the fix is almost never “buy a random shop flex.” It is: break the right wall, extract the Egg, Open it, and let the Index register.

Cash bounties and why Claim All matters

Discovery rewards are easy to forget during contested extracts or weather chaos. Build a ritual:

  • After every Open session, open the Index.
  • Hit Claim All (or claim each pending bounty if the UI splits them).
  • Dump that Cash into the diagnosed need: Speed/Carry, farm slots, Animal upgrades, or the next Dumbbell breakpoint.
  • Only then leave base for another biome run.

Unclaimed bounties are free Cash sitting in a menu. On accounts chasing Rebirth multipliers, that is self-sabotage.

Claim before Rebirth

Rebirth keeps Dumbbells and accelerates Cash via multipliers, but soft progress and pending UI rewards are where players slip. Pre-rebirth Index checklist:

  1. Hatch inventory Eggs that would finish rows.
  2. Open pending hatches.
  3. Claim All Index Cash.
  4. Place best Animals so post-rebirth offline earn is real (Farm Expansion).
  5. Read the live Rebirth confirmation panel.
  6. Rebirth when the multiplier math beats another grind hour.

Do not rebirth mid–weather mutation hunt just to click Claim All later — finish the hunt, claim, place mutants, then reset the economy.

Mutations as variants (verify in-game)

Mutations multiply earn rates:

  • Natural: Gold 2x, Diamond 2.5x, Rainbow 3x
  • Weather: Hacked 2x, Lava 2x, Toxic 2x

How the Index displays mutated forms can vary by patch — some games list variants as separate rows, others as tags on a base species. Verify in your live Index rather than trusting a fan spreadsheet. For play decisions:

  • Treat a mutated hatch as board priority even if the base species was already “discovered.”
  • Still claim any discovery Cash the UI offers when a new variant registers.
  • Prefer placing high-multiplier mutants on limited pads (Best Animals).
  • Use Weather Events windows to fill mutation value, not only new base rows.

This wiki will not invent a fake full species table. Biome exploration plus your Index UI is the source of truth.

Egypt adds rows — plan inventory

When Ancient Egypt content is live, expect new Index targets and crowded extracts. Prep:

  • Clear Egg / hatch clutter.
  • Keep at least one farm slot flexible for Egypt keepers.
  • Scout empty-handed before first pickup.
  • Claim early Egypt discoveries immediately — event lobbies get noisy, especially near Admin Abuse windows (Admin Abuse).
  • Do not ignore older biomes forever; unfinished early rows are still free Cash.

Index habits that compound with the rest of the wiki

HabitPays off via
Claim All after OpensFaster Dumbbell / upgrade buys
Biome-targeted Egg runsRow completion, not random wandering
Place discoveries that beat weak petsOffline Cash (players hub)
Claim before rebirthNo stranded bounty Cash
Weather-aware huntingMutation value on top of rows
Egypt prepNew rows without inventory panic

Session template for Index progress

  1. Pick one biome with missing rows you can safely enter.
  2. Scout empty-handed; extract 1–3 sure Eggs.
  3. Hatch / Open; note new Index ticks.
  4. Claim All.
  5. Place upgrades; sell trash.
  6. Spend bounty Cash on the Speed vs Carry diagnosis or wall Dumbbell.
  7. Stop when contest spikes — hop servers rather than tilting.

The Index is a Cash questline disguised as a collection book. Discover on purpose, Claim All on reflex, and never rebirth with pending bounties unclaimed.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Quick answers to the most common questions.

How do I fill the Animal Index?

Break into biomes, carry Eggs to the Safe Zone, hatch and Open them. Discovery registers from real hatches — not from shopping Dumbbells alone.

What does Claim All do?

It collects pending Index Cash bounties for species (and any variants the live UI tracks). Use it after Open sessions so rewards fund upgrades.

Should I claim Index rewards before Rebirth?

Yes. Hatch pending Eggs, Claim All, place best Animals, then rebirth so bounty Cash and board power are not left stranded.

Do mutations count separately in the Index?

It depends on the live UI. Treat mutants as high-value board pets and verify whether your Index lists them as variants or tags — do not trust outdated fan lists.

Does Ancient Egypt add Index entries?

Yes — new biome content adds rows. Prep inventory and farm space before pushing Egypt Eggs, then claim discoveries immediately.
